Iso nerfs are being rushed by Valorant developers as Agent’s win rate increases

Valorant’s developers have revealed that they would release a round of Iso nerfs following the Agent’s brief reign of dominance during Episode 8 Act 3.

When Patch 8.11 was released following the conclusion of VCT Masters Shanghai, the meta shifted dramatically, with Raze falling out of favour. Iso and Neon gained the lead instead, thanks to their hefty buffs.

However, Iso in particular has swiftly become an in-game juggernaut, with many players demanding Riot to nerf him days after the patch was released, primarily because the modifications transformed him from one of Valorant’s worst Duelists to one of the best instantly, rather than gradually.

Riot has definitely responded, with the developers confirming that Iso nerfs will be included in the next patch in an effort to reign him in.

Penguin, a Valorant game designer, has announced that they want to nerf Iso’s Double Tap in Patch 9.00. Many players had expressed annoyance with the skill.

Iso’s Double Tap’s two-kill reset will be deleted following its implementation in Patch 8.11. If Iso gets two kills, the reset will grant him a charge. Furthermore, Double Tap’s length will be lowered from 20 seconds to 12.

“Removing the reset gives Iso just on activation, and reducing the duration should create a clearer window for opponents to deny him fights,” penguin explained.

Iso’s win rate increased dramatically once Patch 8.11’s bonuses were implemented. According to Blitz.gg’s Platinum 3 rated game stats, Iso’s victory rate has grown from 45.6% to 50.1%.

Neon, who received considerable buffs alongside Iso, showed only a 0.2% boost in victory rates.

Fortunately, Iso’s supremacy won’t last much longer, as PC players will receive Patch 9.00 on June 25. Patch 9.01 for consoles will include Iso modifications.
